Titus Hosmer accounts with the Brig Minerva, 1775-1803.

Accounts with consignees who shipped goods aboard the Minerva to Middletown, Connecticut, and the account of bills for repairs, sails, rigging, provisions, and other items. The center of the book includes memoranda of notes given by David Trumbull for cattle purchased on contract for O. Phelps, the contractor for the Continental Army, 1782; of notes given by Trumbull for articles purchased, 1788; and notes for cattle shipped, 1796-1800. The last section of the volume is an account of horses shipped on a variety of vessels, including the Schooner George, the Schooner Fair Lady and the Sloop Polly to Barbados from New London or Norwich, Connecticut. The shipper may have been David Trumbull.

Titus Hosmer (1736 – August 4, 1780) was an American Founding Father and lawyer from Middletown, Connecticut. He was a delegate for Connecticut to the Continental Congress in 1778, where he signed the Articles of Confederation. Titus was born in West Hartford, Connecticut, attended Yale and graduated in 1757. He read for the law, was admitted to the bar, and began a practice in Middletown, Connecticut.
